Baton Rouge Food Tours LLC was created to share my passion for Southern Louisiana cuisine and culture. I take great pride in sharing bits of Louisiana with others as I believe this place is one of a kind.
I gained a greater appreciation of our distinct heritage when I attended college out of state. I knew I’d miss my family and friends but didn’t realize how much I’d miss our food! Each time I returned home on break, I brought more and more friends, taking delight in presenting my favorite restaurants, festivals, lingo, or teaching the proper way to peel crawfish and crabs.
I’ve always loved discovering the best, most off-the-beaten-path, and unique places. I spend an unhealthy amount of time researching all things local—from checking out restaurants, to reading history, to trying new recipes at home. If there is somewhere to eat, I’ve probably been there and if I haven’t, I am going there.
I also want to encourage locals to venture downtown and explore all the new exciting activities, restaurants, and attractions.
I look forward to highlighting some of the best places to see in my hometown.
